The Kansas City Museum is a small museum that is built across Missouri which happens to be located on the north east side of Kansas City. The museum is also called R.A.Long House and is spread over an area of 3 acres.
The outbuilding houses a historic building that is referred as the Corinthian Hall. The museum showcases a perfect mixture of scientific innovations and the past history of the area. The architectural finesse of the museum is a soda foundation built in the year 1910 and the planetarium which can accommodate 50 people.
The R.A. Long House was referred to as the "Palace on Gladstone Boulevard". Its hall called as the Corinthian Hall has acquired its name from thee 6 Corinthian Columns. It was initially the living place for the family of Long before he died in 1934.

The operating hours of the Museum are morning 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday. It is also open from 12.00 noon to 4.30 p.m. on Sundays. The museum is also hosting some community programs which interest all age groups.
Special attractions for the visitors include the Gift Shop which is located towards the north side f the Natural History Hall and is the property of Corinthian Hall. Several programs at the museum feature the history of the region and about the crafts projects.
