Tip 2 - Starting out in the late 70s Coterie Theater in Kansas City has come a long way in entertaining local populations and visiting tourists. It has become a hub of live entertainment and has given close to 7000 performances since its inception. Coterie theater is a must visit.

Tip 3 - Jazz and music lovers in general can head to the Kansas City Jazz Museum to get a taste of the formative years of the vibrant jazz movement. Visitors can get a glimpse of jazz musicians and the artifacts and instruments used by contemporary jazz musicians of the time.

Tip 4 - Spread over 200 acres and housing over a 1000 animals the Kansas City Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the country. Its divided into region specific sections with indoor rainforests, tropics, African plains and many more.

Tip 5 - Water thrill seekers can check out the Oceans of Fun with slides and rides suitable for kids and adults of all ages. Kayak, canoe, twist and turn in slides or enjoy lazy streams that simulate Caribbean tropical climate.
