
Brief Intro of Folly Theater Kansas City: Finding out What to Do
The Folly Theater was established in the year 1900 and it was originally known as the Standard Theater. The Folly Theater is also well known as the Century Theater. The Standard Theater was established with 2400 seats in 1900. In the year 1902 the theater was renamed as Century Theater.
In the year 1923 the Shubert brothers purchased the Century Theater and renamed as Shubert Missouri. The theater business shows failure during the year 1928 and it was closed in 1932. After tax sale the theater was reopened in the year 1941 with the name Folly Theater. The theater was added into the national Register of Historic places in the year 1974.
