Founded in 1923, Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) began as part of the public schooling system. The name of the college was however different when it first started and it has been through a couple of nomenclature modifications, as it grew to serve more specialized and more advanced studies. The Kansas Board of Regents and Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association of Colleges and Schools have accredited the College.
