Tip 3 - Jazz and music lovers in general can head to the Kansas City Jazz Museum to get a taste of the formative years of the vibrant jazz movement. Visitors can get a glimpse of jazz musicians and the artifacts and instruments used by contemporary jazz musicians of the time.

Tip 4 - Spread over 200 acres and housing over a 1000 animals the Kansas City Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the country. Its divided into region specific sections with indoor rainforests, tropics, African plains and many more.

Tip 5 - Water thrill seekers can check out the Oceans of Fun with slides and rides suitable for kids and adults of all ages. Kayak, canoe, twist and turn in slides or enjoy lazy streams that simulate Caribbean tropical climate.

For those who prefer some Jazz with their dinner, move over to the Jardine's Restaurant and Jazz Club at the Main street which is a cozy and comfortable place with a European ambience and great food. At the Jardine's you will not only experience great food but also the traditional way in which the jazz legacy is honored.

When you are in the mood to really get drunk, Westport is your destination. At this location the bars are open as late as 3 am. Though there are over half a dozen good bars, you will find most of them packed. You can try and pick up a friend and in the same vein also avoid fights.

Driving back from this place with care is strongly recommended. Competition from downtown has dented the popularity of this spot and business being not as usual, some caution is certainly beneficial.
