It is spread over 175 acres and offers a host of rides, shows, thrill events that will keep you and your family engaged and entertained for hours together. You have thrill rides with special effects, 200 foot falls from towers, rip cords and thunder walks.

Tip 2 - Starting out in the late 70s Coterie Theater in Kansas City has come a long way in entertaining local populations and visiting tourists. It has become a hub of live entertainment and has given close to 7000 performances since its inception. Coterie theater is a must visit.

Tip 3 - Jazz and music lovers in general can head to the Kansas City Jazz Museum to get a taste of the formative years of the vibrant jazz movement. Visitors can get a glimpse of jazz musicians and the artifacts and instruments used by contemporary jazz musicians of the time.

Tip 4 - Spread over 200 acres and housing over a 1000 animals the Kansas City Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the country. Its divided into region specific sections with indoor rainforests, tropics, African plains and many more.

Tip 5 - Water thrill seekers can check out the Oceans of Fun with slides and rides suitable for kids and adults of all ages. Kayak, canoe, twist and turn in slides or enjoy lazy streams that simulate Caribbean tropical climate.

Sports

Though Baseball is the more popular sports for Kansas, Soccer and Hockey are also in the forefront of Kansas sports. The Kansas City Chiefs, founded in 1963 under the umbrella of NFL play at the Arrowhead Stadium while the Kansas City Wizards founded in 1995 play for the Major League Soccer at the Community America Ball Park (KCK).

Kansas City Royals founded in 1969 and the Kansas City T-Bones founded in 2006 are the two teams representing Kansas Baseball. The Kansas City Royals are affiliated to the Major League Baseball and call the Kauffman Stadium home. The Kansas City T-Bones is affiliated to the Northern League and the Community America Ball Park (KCK) is the home ground for the team.

Missouri Mavericks founded in 2009 and affiliated to CHL play at the Independence Events Center. Detailed fixtures involving these teams can be gleaned from web pages on Kansas City travel guide or through the web links furnished on this page.

To add further impetus to sporting activities in Kansas a new Sprint Center arena was added in 2007.
